Crafty Dee’s was born from a bold ambition: to challenge the norm, celebrate originality, and introduce a new wave of brewing innovation. Guided by curiosity, vision, and an unwavering commitment to quality, every step of the journey has been about creating something truly meaningful, and distinctly different.
Rooted in Dar es Salaam, where the Patel family has lived for over a century, Crafty Dee’s, is more than a brewery. It’s a legacy in the making, a fusion of tradition and modernity, of global inspiration and local pride.

Our Story
Our journey started in a small room at the back of our founder’s home, fueled by curiosity and a love for great beer. Through dedication, experimentation, and a relentless pursuit of quality, Crafty Dee’s evolved into Dar's first brewpub and 7x African Beer Cup award winner. Today, our 130-seater brewpub in Masaki offers a unique experience where guests can enjoy freshly brewed full flavour beer while watching the brewing process through large panoramic windows, connecting every sip to the craft behind it.
